About: Carmen Llano-Gomez, CPA, is a partner with HLB Gravier, LLP where she focuses her practice in international and corporate tax planning, specializing in multi-jurisdictional clients. Her clients represent a diverse portfolio of clients from a wide range of industries, including closely held businesses, foreign owned companies with US subsidiaries, foreign investors, not-for-profit and high net worth individuals. Mrs. Llano-Gomez strengths lie in corporate transition of ownership, entity structures and formations as well as providing complex tax planning and strategies to corporations and individuals. Mrs. Llano-Gomez has successfully represented clients with the federal and state taxing authorities during examinations or audits. She began her career with the accounting firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers before joining HLB Gravier, LLP, where she manages the international/corporate tax department.

Mrs. Llano-Gomez is a Certified Public Accountant and has been in practice since 1997. She is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). As guest speaker, she has lectured in numerous meetings and educational seminars at various Universities.

Mrs. Llano-Gomez received her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master in Science of Accounting from Florida International University.

Mrs. Llano-Gomez currently sits on the board of Equip-a-Student, a not-for-profit dedicated to providing backpacks to underprivileged children to help them start the school year with basic school supplies.

Mrs. Llano-Gomez is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami and teaches International Tax in the Graduate School of Business.
