About Nelson Gaud, CPA, CGMA

Nelson Gaud, CPA, CGMA, is an Audit Partner at HLB Gravier LLP with more than nine years of accounting and audit experience. He specializes in providing audit and assurance services across a broad range of industries including nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, automotive dealerships, manufacturing, real estate, and lending companies.

Mr. Gaud has extensive experience conducting audits in accordance with Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. His expertise includes financial statement audits, audit planning, internal controls evaluation, and engagement supervision for both public and private organizations.

As an engagement leader, Mr. Gaud is responsible for ensuring audit procedures are properly planned, executed, documented, and performed in accordance with professional standards. He also provides ongoing supervision, guidance, and support to audit field staff throughout the engagement process.

Known for his detail-oriented and collaborative approach, Mr. Gaud works closely with clients to strengthen financial reporting processes, maintain compliance, and improve operational accountability.

Mr. Gaud earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2011 from the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez Campus, with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance.

He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in both Florida and Puerto Rico and also holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation.
