About Carmen Llano-Gomez, CPA
Carmen Llano-Gomez, CPA, is a Partner at HLB Gravier LLP, where she focuses her practice on international and corporate tax planning, specializing in multi-jurisdictional clients and cross-border business structures. Since beginning her professional practice in 1997, Mrs. Llano-Gomez has advised a diverse portfolio of clients including closely held businesses, foreign-owned companies with U.S. subsidiaries, foreign investors, nonprofit organizations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Her expertise includes corporate ownership transitions, entity structuring and formations, and the development of sophisticated tax planning strategies for both corporations and individuals. Mrs. Llano-Gomez also has extensive experience representing clients before federal and state taxing authorities during examinations and audit proceedings.
Prior to joining HLB Gravier LLP, Mrs. Llano-Gomez began her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). She currently manages the firm’s International and Corporate Tax Department, providing strategic guidance to clients navigating increasingly complex domestic and international tax environments.
Mrs. Llano-Gomez is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). She has served as a guest speaker and lecturer at numerous professional meetings, educational seminars, and university programs.
She earned both her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science in Accounting from Florida International University.
In addition to her professional practice, Mrs. Llano-Gomez currently serves on the board of Equip-a-Student, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing backpacks and school supplies to underprivileged children.
Mrs. Llano-Gomez is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami Graduate School of Business, where she teaches International Tax.
